This is usually run as a one or two day course at Freycinet, other options can be negotiated. Participants learn the essential skills to safely rig abseils using natural protection (trees, rocks, etc). Participants are instructed on group management skills and techniques to maximise safety and efficiency when running an abseiling activity. Basic rescues are covered.
As the BAI qualification does not certify the use of artificial protection (nuts, camming devices, hexs etc), this is not covered in the course.
Cost – see here.
Consult the Training Calendar for the next scheduled training dates. Additional training sessions can be arranged if requested.
